Vote ke liye arjun kuch bhi karega!!
Let us join hands in protest against tremendous reservation of seats in prestigious medical institutes for backward category students -simply because govt.gets more votes with this!
It is so sad that person like Dr.Manmohan singh --primintister of India ---inspite of himself remaining a scholar through out his academic carrier with his hard work and dedication is allowing his govt. to implement this reservation and sacrificing talent and hard work ----so as to get VOTES! Its really too disgusting!
God Really biggest crime in this country is ----To belong to general category!
If Govt. thinks that with this reservation it can get votes of backward categories, then they should be made aware that they will not get a single vote from general category!
Let all in general category should decalre that noone will give vote to present govt. ever again if they implement this reservation policy!
Govt.should be made aware of power of general category persons. They can't go on exploiting general category students.
So come forward and lodge STRONG PROTEST against this VOTE COLLECTING POLICY !
DECLARE THAT NOONE IN GENERAL CATEGORY WILL GIVE VOTE TO PRESENT GOVT.,IF THEY IMPLEMENT THIS RESEVATION POLICY--TO COLLECT VOTES!
THEY MUST KNOW POWER OF GENERAL CATEGORY PEOPLE![img][/img]

all the political parties are in it together... no body has the guts to roll back the quotas....not even the BJP who have turned hypocrites....and now they are meeting to discuss reservation in the private sectors....
They have already ammended the constitution to deny us the fundamental right of equality... why are minorities and backwards more equal than others?? does this country really want to sow mediocrisy and incompetence for the future?.....will we be discriminated against based on us being merit students....have we become the untouchables of india?

I loved ayn rand's fountainhead and atlas shrugged....
Lets protest against this one... Let merit be the only means of being selected.. please guys , let india be a true democracy instead of making it a psueudosecular country,,, Let a person not be selected by his caste/race/color/money status...........
Its 59 years we have been following reservation!! and what improvement have we got????? Lets just implement a no reservation policy for 5 years, and let all the real stars shine...
otherwise injustice and brain drain in inevitable......
Loved Rang De Basanti too,,,
either
suffer from the system,
OR
stand up , accept responsibility and change it!!!!!

I FORGOT
OURS IS A COUNTRY WHOSE CONSTITUTION IS BASED ON THE FRENCH REVOLUTION'S IDEOLOGY OF
EQUALITY, FRATERNITY AND LIBERTY.....
IS THIS EQUALITY??? WHERE you can get the worst marks and get the seat of your choice, not because your dad drives a maruti and a ford, but because your caste is included in the Reservation Quota??
But you might be just at the cream top of your class, yet u might not be able to take up what you like, not because you come from a poor Hindu family, or that your dad has taken loans for your education so far but because your family's caste is not included in the Reservation Quota??
How unjust can we be???
Revolution is imminent ....

HEY GUYS,
Wake up lest these politicians who do not know the woes and torture associated with labour and hard work would sell the general category at the hands of ordinary and corrupt. Lets plan a day to protest against the policy.Let;s be smart enough like the Americans as being doctors we r the most educated lots.WE R NOT WEAK provided we stand united.Lets ask some different party to stand for general category and remove reservation 100% and for ever!

Instead of resorting to self immolation drives like during mandal commision our stand shd be to unite agst injustice .otherwise tomorrow we ll have to hear of things like general category feticide (Like female feticide) where in it ll b crime to b born in a house of gen category.
The real deserving ones need atmosphere n funds for study not quotas (Most of dem r not even aware of iim's iit's aiims pgi)
while d rich undeserving brats get d advantage of being born in this category.

| Even after 59 years of independence and reservation for SC/ST etc.for last 40-50 years only insane persons will think of reservation in higher eduational studies like IIM/IIT/Medical and our Minister is doing this for vote bank. The time has come now, that the reserved category should say that we do not need your protection and we have enough strength and stamina to compete with general category. The general category should otherwise submit memorandum to Supreme Court, President and Parliament and protest against the policy of these dirty politicians to pamper minority and SC/ST, or demand reservation of seats according to their percentage in a particular field/exam. The politicians have spoiled our country because they are morally corrupt and have no ethics or principles in life. They do any thing for remaining in power.

Hello everyone,
I followed this post for sometime now....and at the outset would like to tell you that I belong to the so called ''forward community'' struggling against the reservation barriers.
I was just reading through the previous posts and something came up in my thoughts. In Tamilnadu, there is 69% reservation , possibly the highest percentage in higher education anywhere in the country. For so many years now, even after the supreme court ruling of restricting reservation to a maximum of 50%, this 69% is being still implemented.
As can be imagined, the reason is that the ''forward community'' in tamilnadu only constitutes a minority.....more like 10 to 15%....reason being with successive state governments and commissions bringing more and more castes under the BC/MBC tag, most of the honourable citizens are now coming under the so called reserved categories.
In all this chaos.....I have herad that private companies like TVS-SUNDARAM...and Hospitals like SUNDARAM MEDICAL FOUNDATION are discreetly following their own agenda while filling up vacancies in the workshop, or in the wards. They are only taking genuinely good candidates with very good qualifications....and sticking to the BRAHMIN/ forward community candidates as far as possible. I HAVE NO WAY OF CONFIRMING THIS , NEITHER DO I HAVE PROOF THAT THIS IS TRUE.
HOWEVER, this alleged strategy has given me an idea. What happens if all the industry heads of private hospitals, companies ,schools and other establishments, started recruiting personnel only from the so called forward communities with high merit....or in some cases even the medicore chaps.
Imagine....what hue and cry the whole country and the shameless politicians will rise on this issue. They will shout murder.....say that the dalits are being discriminated against...that their genuine opportunities are being violated. YET THIS IS WHAT IS EXACTLY HAPPENING NOW WITH THE FORWARD COMMUNITY CANDIDATES IN THE NAME OF RESERVATION, ISNT IT?
AND MIND YOU, IF I WAS RUNNING A PRIVATE ENTERPRISE, I AM FULLY WITHIN MY RIGHTS TO EMPLOY ANYONE WHOM I WANT , RIGHT? SO WHAT IF I RESTRICT IT TO ONLY ELIGIBLE GUYS FROM MY SO CALLED MINORITY. BELIEVE ME GUYS , IF EVERYONE OF THE FORWARD COMMUNITY CEOs AND INDUSTRY HEADS STARTED DOING THIS, THE POLITICIANS AND THE CREAMY LAYER BC/MBC PEOPLE WILL NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT HIT THEM.........EVEN THOUGH GENUINE HUMAN FEELINGS WILL NEVER SEE US PEOPLE DOING THIS.
This government , if it really wants to uplift the opressed sections of the society, must make primary education and secondary education totally free for the backward classes below a certain economic profile. Give more scholarships, encourage the parents to send their wards to schools, make them empowered enough to compete in the open category, restrict the candidate to using the benefit to one generation only.....and then maybe something will come out of this mess!
BUT I GUESS THIS IS ALL UTOPIA!

FRIENDS,
THE GOVERNMENT IS NOW CONSIDERING AN INCREASE IN THE NO. OF SEATS SO THAT THE ABSOLUTE NO. OF SEATS FOR THE OPEN MERIT CATEGORY IS NOT REDUCED.
HOWEVER, THIS MOVE MEANS THAT THE INFRACTUCTURE & THE TEACHING/NONTEACHING STAFF HAVE TO BE PROPORTIONATELY INCREASED AS WELL!CAN THE GOVERNMENT REALLY AFFORD THAT?
THERE ARE ALREADY SO MANY VACANCIES IN GOVERNMENT JOBS, PARTLY BECAUSE OF THE NONAVAILABILITY OF BACKWARD COMMUNITY PERSONNEL, DESPITE REPEATED ADVERTISEMENTS & PARTLY BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY THEM SALARIES!
SO WHAT COULD BE THE END RESULT OF ALL THIS IN THE LONG RUN?PRIVATISATION?THE EASY WAY OUT, AFTER THE INITIAL OBJECTIVE OF VOTE BANK IS ACHIEVED?
I FEEL THAT SPECIAL COACHING & SCHOLARSHIPS ARE BETTER WAYS TO EMPOWER THE BACKWARD COMMUNITIES, THAN THIS EASY WAY OF INCREASING THE RESERVATION QUOTA FOR THEM!
DR.A.J.PAIDHUNGAT.

dear buddy
what a pity that in aland of the great oppurtunities when our infantile democracy has about started crawling and organisations like goldman sachs in the BRIR '2050' survey have forseen india to be a major economic superpower of 2050 . and these helmsmen of ours whom we have given the reins of our country are all in an effort to belie their predictions. please do keep up the fight and do join hands against this injustice to the millions unfortunate enough to have been born as the forward classes.
regards

Hmmm... I probably dont fully understand the whole reservation thing. My friends from all IIM's keep sending me petition, news abt people who want to imolate themselves etc... Why a country with such a huge economic potential would want to commit suicide by preventing its best students to join its best institutes?
I was at IIMB as exchange student. I saw people working hard there. Then I thought of joining IIMB for the full 2-year program. I put a post on the pagalguy/mba forum and some indians told me not to steal there seats!
Those are different issues. But in both cases, I am against reservation/quota and in favor of diversity.
1) reservation for lower casts: the indian government should ensure high quality primary education to all and then let the best students join the IIM/IIT's through CAT.
2) lack of foreign students: I'm not begging for quota. I expect to work as hard as Indians. Not harder. Right now, the GMAT route to the IIM's is highly subjective. The ones to go through are mainly NRI's and the admission process depends almost fully on IIM's willingness to do some extra administrative work.
India would gain from diversity... Students from all origins, religions and casts... The only thing i believe in is merit!
