I dont know about common cases but for abdo it is usually spleen related, thalassaemia patients..... or cirrhotic patients with a palpable spleen....
Neuro - MS is common..... its funny how MS always CROPS up in one way or another... proximal myopathy is another one that has cropped up....
Cardio can be ANYTHING really... MS , AS with MR, anything is possible!!
Resp; bronchiectasis secondary to TB, this came TWICE in DIFFERENT FORMS to me or PULMONARY FIBROSIS due to TB....

LOTS OF ASIAN POPULATION HERE, SO TB TB TB TB TB TB is a favourite!

station 5 was gout and polymyalgia rheumatica..... one was philipino the other was an indian patient so they both spoke english,,,

PostPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 8:20 pm    Post subject: PACES teaching

Since u r all discussing PACES Kuwait i will tell u something important. There is one consultant in Kuwait who takes a lot of interest in teaching for PACES. He does it free and out of his deep interest in teaching and helping candidates. Find him and get trained by him. He is a master and you will definitely pass if you get trained by him. But he is tough and very strict about timing. You are lucky if he agrees to train yiou.

I don't want to mention his name here. I got trained by him and my performance changed a lot and I passed. It is easy facing the examiners once this consultant has grilled and trained you. He is an Indian and is a nephrologist. You can easily find his name by asking anyone who passed or is appearing for PACES from Kuwait.
