copy e-book

Hi all....
i have already pass the IELTS exam. i have so many IELTS e-book materials that i downloaded from internet such as NII book and cambridge practise test for free, (i got all links from this forum)

then my friends want to take IELTS test too. he wants me to give copy of those e-book.
my question is, is it okay to copy material and give them to him? is it not a criminal act?

please give me information. i dont want do something wrong.
