Some people believe it is important to protect the environment, but they make no efforts on it, why is it? What’s your opinion?

With the increasing expose to the publicity given to environmental protection, many people have realized the significance of protecting our living planet. Meanwhile, it is pointed out that there seems to be lacking in proper reaction to the consensus. In this essay, I aim at giving possible reasons to this concern.

First and foremost, many people would blame the insufficient of public facilities when asked about this issue. It is true that most of the time it is not that people intend to deteriorate the environment; it is the inadequate facilities force people to make improper choices. In many developing countries, garbage classification system and recycling systems have just covered a few districts which make it hard for people to cope with the issue.

Another undeniable factor is that it is costly to maintain an environmental friendly life which also hinders people’s action. With more and more energy-saving and Freon-free electronic devices coming into existence, consumers still hesitate when purchasing because of an obvious extra charging. Therefore, this shortsightedness in consuming habits may as well prohibit people from taking real actions in environment protection.

What can also be true in some circumstances is that people simply don’t regard the responsibility as is theirs. They count on the governments to make restrictions and scientists to bring technology miracles which however, are only another perfect excuse.

To conclude, there exist both internal and external reasons why individuals haven’t yet helped practically to preserve the environment. In order to solve the possible problems, more public facilities should be provided and consuming habits require a thorough alteration. After all, not until people consider it as the responsibility of every human being’s, this problem cannot be solved.

Thx a lot!!
