Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female student in every subject.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Write at least 250 words.
Answer:
Many universities have often different criteria for enrolment of male and female students over certain subjects. It is a common debate these days that universities should change their criteria and should accept equal number of students from both genders. I will analyze this according to my vision.
I completely agree with the idea that universities should accept same students from both genders because it will create cooperation between both males and females right from their university life. For instance when students will sit in a environment where they have to learn by helping each other then they will also learn about the attributes and characteristics of each other, however there are some fields and subjects in which both the enrolment cannot be same such as in maternal subjects like gynecology equal students from both genders shouldn’t be accepted and females should be given preference in this certain field.
On the other hand, there is another fact that same number of students from both genders can also benefit in creating competition between both male and female students. For example when both male and female students study in a same subject then they often try to compete each other. But on the contrary, there are some certain reason of different criteria of enrolment among genders such as many females after marriage do not work, which often lead in the shortage of labor and work.
One more benefit which is only concerned to females is that the more they will study with men, the more likely they will have success in their walk of life.
To recapitulate, I totally agree that both genders should have same criteria in admission because it helps in creating cooperation, competition and experience to know each other; however for some fields this kind of criteria isn’t possible.
