Should arts-related entertainment venues such as museums and art galleries be free of charge for the general public, or should a charge apply for admittance?

    Write at least 250 words.

    MY ANSWER:
I tend to agree that museums and art galleries that promote art awareness and preserve our society's culture should not be admittance free. These institutions should charge a generous amount for admittance.

The main reason for this is to provide a means for these institutions to maintain their so-called "entertainment venue". Preserving works of Art and memories of our society is not an easy task to do. This requires careful preservation and oftentimes need manpower and funding. As an example, Museums need to have security gurads to ensure that all artifacts are in-tact. There are also the janitors who clean these places. These people, thou sometimes overlooked, should be taken into consideration in maintaining museums and art galleries.

Another reason is to improve the quality of Arts presented by these museums and art galleries. A museum should provide a clear reflection of our past in order to provide better education to our children. A Museum is not just a room full of old things from our past but rather a devoted teacher telling us how we were able to survive and evolve through time. As an example, museum curators should be well knowledgeable of the museum artifacts so they should be educated and trained. This will entail cost that should be financed through admittance fees.

In conclusion, museums and art galleries are good venues not only for entertainment but more of a window of our past. As members of the public, we should do our share in maintaining and improving the quality of our museums and art galleries.

Preserving works of Art and memories of our society is not an easy task to do. This requires careful attention to detail and resources such as manpower and funding. As an example, Museums need to have security guards to ensure that all artifacts remain secure. There is also the requirement of janitors who clean these places. A museum should provide a clear reflection of our past in order to provide better education to our children. A Museum is not just a room full of old things but rather a devoted teacher telling us how we were able to survive and evolve through time. As an example, museum curators should be extremely familiar with the museum's artifacts, this would require education and training. These costs are just a few examples of things that should be financed through an admittance fee.

In conclusion, museums and art galleries are good venues not only for entertainment but also a window into our past. As members of the public, we should do our share in maintaining and improving the quality of our museums and art galleries.
