    Well! For primary prevention of rheumatic fever (treatment of streptococcal pharyngitis), the treatment of choice is first generation cephalosporin in patients with penicillin allergy. Only in a patient with penicillin anaphylaxis, erythromycin is used.
    For secondary prevention of rheumatic fever, sulfonamides are used in a patient with penicillin allergy and erythromycin if anaphylactic o penicillin.
